Dr. Arturo S. Isip delivered his last message as the Schools Division Superintendent of Southern Leyte Division, while SDS Genis S. Murallos was officially installed as the division’s new SDS, today, June 8, 2017 at the Conference Room of the Division Office.
Dr. Isip will now serve as the new SDS of Maasin City Division. The installation of Superintendent Murallos was headed by Regional Director, Dr. Ramir B. Uytico and the Assistant Regional Director, Atty. Rhoan L. Orebia.
Below is the excerpt of SDS Isip’s Farewell Message to Southern Leyte Division.
“I hope that during my term I have been able to make a positive impact on both the current and future of this Division. Thank you for the opportunity to lead and for your patience as I grew in my position.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank a number of people for their hard work and dedication, and without whom running the division wouldn’t have been possible.
• In particular, I’d like to thank my ASDS, Dr. Margarito Cadayona, for all his support and encouragement during my term, for your tireless work and managing our operation.
• To all our Division Unit and Section Heads, non-teaching staff, for your dedication in serving with me. I am certain that I can still count on your valuable support.
• I would be remiss if I did not recognize the true heroes of this past years, our dedicated teachers, school heads, and PSDS. There are not enough words to express the thanks and appreciation of these heroes and great leaders. For without their passion and undying commitment to our learners, we would not have been successful in achieving our vision and mission.
• My sincerest thanks to our mentors, our Regional Director, Dr. Ramir B. Uytico, for his mentoring and guidance, to ARD Atty Rhoan L. Orebia, for your support during this year of change. It has been my pleasure to serve you.
Collectively, you are the heart, mind and soul of this Division.
I thank all of you for all you have done and will continue to do in support of a truly enduring educational mission.
I bid goodbye to you with a heavy heart. Truly, embracing change is difficult. I still fear change and prefer my comfort zone, but I find when I step out and take even a small step in a new direction, if I do it with faith there is always some reward. Change is necessary and it’s not evil. Change is a big part of being successful.
In closing, I do have one final request. I ask that each of you pledge your continued support to this Division under the tutelage of your new SDS Dr. Genis Murallos and help our leaders continue our journey to deliver the success our division deserves.
As you know, we can do this. But only Together. Remember, this is not good bye. I will see you again.”
